Quinta dos Vales Open Door - 2011 October 15th and 16th

Come and celebrate the 5th edition of our "Open Door" which will once again be held at Quinta dos Vales in Estombar. As usual the event is free and open to all participants. With the main
aim of presenting the new red wines of the 2009 harvest, as in previous
editions you will once again be delighted with our new sculptures.
The new wines which we will launch during the event are:
- Grace Touriga Nacional 2009 red, a varietal whose predecessor has
achieved great success having been selected amongst the best in
Viniportugal's Top 10 Touriga Nacional in 2010.
- Selecta 2009, our excellent red at the entry level.
Numerous activities can be enjoyed in the two-day event, including:
- Show Cooking with Chef Augusto Lima from Xarme restaurant in Lagos.
- Demonstration of Paragliding.
- Musical Performances by Pedro Frias and other local artists.
- DJ-sets with DJs Alex and Gerson.
- Performance by the Rancho Folclórico do Calvário.
- Opening of a bottle by fire by Sommelier-Mor of Confraria dos Enófilos
e Gastronómica do Algarve, Mr. Hermínio Rebelo.
We will also have some activities for which the number of participants
is limited and require pre-registration (to the e-mail
info@quintadosvales.eu, with schedules to be determined):
- Introduction to wine by Hermínio Rebelo.
- Cooking Class with Chef Augusto Lima.
- Guided tours in English, Portuguese and German.
You can also visit the animal park and sculpture gardens, and taste the
new wines in free tastings between 1:30 and 4:00pm, while other wines
can be enjoyed by the glass at very affordable prices.
