For the 16th consecutive year afpop has arranged for euroFINESCO to present a series of IRS Tax Seminars to provide the information that residents in Portugal and people moving to Portugal need to know about their obligations for presenting their Tax Declarations to the Finanças.  The seminar subject will include the latest information about personal allowances, how to submit the annual Declaration and penalties for false declarations and late submissions.

The presenters from euroFINESCO will give impartial advice about all matters to do with individual taxation and will answer questions of general interest in open forum.  They will also be available to give more specific advice on individual cases after the group session has ended.

This year’s annual celebrations of Carnival all over in the Algarve are full of colourful costumes and loud music. The traditional day for carnival will be at Shrove Tuesday, which this year lands on February 21. The celebrations will go on the whole weekend before and every small town will usually hold some kind of celebration before the period of Lent will start on the following Wednesday.
